With the help of this application you can create a database that covers all the movies in your collection.

The Personal Video Database installation file weighs in at 10.2MB, so it won’t take long to download, not on a high-speed internet connection. Run the installation file and a setup wizard will guide you through the installation process. You will get to choose between the two supported languages (English and German), the two installation options (Full and Custom install), and you will get to pick the installation file.

The main functions and features Personal Video Database has to offer are displayed in the upper part of its interface. To the left there’s the list of movies you’ve entered into the database, and to the right there’s info on the movies. You can add a lot of info on a movie (title, IMDb rating, cast, comments, screenshots, duration, etc), either manually or automatically by importing it from the web, from a CSV file, or from an Excel file. Unfortunately, the import from web function did not work properly during my tests. And since we’re talking about importing, let’s focus on the opposite, on exporting. You can export all the info stored into Personal Video Database as XML, HTML, CSV, plain list, and more.

Security conscious users will appreciate that they can prevent unauthorized access to Personal Video Database via the password protect feature.
